Would you like to be featured?

SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN AT THIS TIME

Celebrating Authors is a site I designed with the explicit purpose of giving indies and self-published authors an outlet for promotion.  I believe in helping my fellow authors and giving back to the writing community.

If you would be interested in hosting me (Carolyn Arnold), I would be honored, please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

So what’s involved?
Zero cost, but a belief in supporting other authors.  If you believe in that, and in supporting your feature by means of shares and tweets, please submit.

Your post and your book may also be added into the queue for Celebrating Authors on Twitter on an ongoing basis.

As a little incentive to authors for them to share with their networks, we have added the Celebrating Authors All-Stars honor!  Updated periodically, the top 3 posts with the most hits get featured on the right-hand side bar of the blog.  You will stay there as long as your post is at the top of the charts!

Please follow Celebrating on Twitter“like” Celebrating Authors on FB and follow the blog.  I mean it makes sense, if you’re being featured there, doesn’t it?

Also because I run Celebrating Authors free of charge and use my personal time, if you would please like me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, and my author blog that would be wonderful.  I will share your feature on its first day through numerous tweets, and on Facebook, and refer back to them in future.  To further support my fellow authors, these likes and follows will be reciprocated.

TWO RULES:
1) ONLY SUBMIT ONE FEATURE.  Multiple submissions by the same author may result in no published feature.  Also, by only submitting one feature, you allow space for your fellow author--all part of supporting others.
2) A TWITTER ACCOUNT IS REQUIRED TO BE FEATURED.

ZERO EXCEPTIONS.

Starting February 2013, features will post only on the 1st and dates divisible by 3.

FOR FEATURED AUTHORS:
When your post goes live, I will notify you by Twitter mention.
1)   Please share your feature with your networks.  And remember, you could reach Celebrating Authors All-Star status!
2)   On the day your post is new, and/or in the following few, I ask that you check back and respond to any comments left for you.

By following through on the above, I know you’re as committed to your feature as I will be, and I’ll look forward to hosting you.

Here are the feature options (click the feature name to be linked to its online form):

1)  The Independent Voice feature.  Basically, this is a book feature, but it also tells your reader a little bit about yourself personally with Celebrating Authors' famous question; tell us 5 random things about you the person, not the author.  It also directs readers where to go to connect with you.
2)  The author interview.  Choose 5 questions (in addition to the Celebrating Authors' famous question; tell us 5 random things about you) to let yourself shine.  If you answer more than 5 than it is up to our discretion which to publish.
3)   Amazon Snapshot.  This is just basically an ad for your book, and allows you to provide links for people to connect with you online.

4)  Book Excerpt.  Submit a 500-1000 words excerpt of the book you wish to feature.  This post also asks you Celebrating Authors' famous question and gives you an opportunity to direct your readers where to connect with you.

5)  Character Interview.  Answer a few questions from the viewpoint of your character.  This post does not include Celebrating Authors' famous question, but allows you to direct your readers where to connect with you.

6)  Trailer Time.  Readers of the blog will be encouraged to grab some popcorn and settle in to watch your trailer.  This feature is simply your book trailer, its name, book blurb, link to buy and includes your Twitter handle/link so people can follow you.  The link to your video on YouTube is required (no substitutions).  When your trailer is featured it, it will be tagged with the following badge.  Be sure to grab it to share on your blog or website.

Bonus feature:  The Amazon Sidebar Widget.  Even if you've been featured on Celebrating Authors, or have submitted for another main feature, you can submit for this one here.

Note:  Submissions will not be edited for grammar, or spelling so be sure to submit in quality form.

Thank you for  visiting Celebrating Authors.  I wish you much success.
